Sean Callahan, Ph.D.

Research Interest:
I am interested in investigating immune cell epigenetics during health and disease. Specifically, I am interested in how cell metabolism can shape myeloid-derived functionality during inflammation. As such, I am investigating ACSS2 in brain localized myeloid-derived cells during homeostasis and inflammation. I hope to translate my research into clinical interventions for such disorders and diseases. I am also highly interested in promoting STEM diversity through research teaching, outreach, and mentorship.
